Rum Balls

- 1 C. semisweet chocolate pieces shopping list
- 1/2 C. sugar shopping list
- 1/3 C. rum shopping list
- 2 Tbs. light corn syrup shopping list
- 2 C. crushed vanilla wafers (44wafers) shopping list
- 1 C. ground walnuts shopping list

How to make it
- In a saucepan melt chocolate pieces over low heat.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in sugar, rum and corn syrup.
- Fold in vanilla wafers and nuts.
- Shape mixture into 1-inch balls, using 2 teaspoons mixture for each.
- Roll in additional sugar.
- Store in an airtight container for several days.
- Makes 4 dozen balls.

This is amazingly good!!! I used walnuts and pecans. I used 1/4 cup powdered sugar in the rum balls and 1/4 cup to coat the outside of the rum balls. Great recipe that I will always use! UPDATE: Instead of powdered sugar, I just coated some of these ...more

Just the thing for a chilly day - a latte and a rum ball - my world is warm and fuzzy! If I can find some coffee wafers - I'll make it with those and roll in finely ground coffee......mmmm - the coconut suggestion sounds great too.......moreeyecook in Ironwood loved it
