How to make it

  • Place the unpeeled garlic cloves in a dry skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Toast, shaking the pan occasionally until the skins are golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer to cutting board and let cool.
  • When cooled, the once clingy skins peel off easily.
  • The garlic can now be sliced, chopped or minced as you normally would, but it will have far less bite!
