Slow-cooked German Short Ribs

- 2Tbs all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/8tsp ground black pepper shopping list
- 3lbs beef short ribs shopping list
- 2Tbs olive oil shopping list
- 1 onion,sliced shopping list
- 1/2c dry red wine shopping list
- 1/2c chili sauce shopping list
- 3Tbs packed brown sugar shopping list
- 3Tbs vinegar shopping list
- 1Tbs worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/2tsp dry mustard shopping list
- 1/2tsp chili powder shopping list
- 2Tbs all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4c water shopping list
How to make it
- In a small bowl,combine 2Tbs flour,salt and pepper. Coat the short ribs with flour mixture
- In a large skillet,heat the olive oil over med-high heat. Brown short ribs in olive oil.
- In a slow cooker,combine onions,wine ,chili sauce,brown sugar,vinegar.,worcestershire sauce,mustard and chili powder.. Mix thoroughly. Transfer the short ribs from the skillet to the slow cooker.
- Cover,and cook on low 6-8 hours
- Remove ribs,and turn slow cooker control to high. Mix the remaining 2Tbs. of flour with 1/4c water and stir into the sauce. Cook for 10 mins,or till slightly thickened.
