Ingredients
  • 2 b. onions , sliced
  • 1 tomato , sliced
  • Pinch of tumeric pwd
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 tbsp gin-gar paste
  • ......................................................................................................
  • Green Paste :
  • 2 tbsp corrainder - mint leaf , 2 cardamom , 2 cinnamon , 2 cloves , 2 star anise , 1 tbsp fennel seed , 5 green chilli - paste

  • 2 1/2 C Basmati rice , pre soaked and drained
  • 1 C carrot , french beans - sliced plus canned peas

  • Garnish :
  • Fresh mint and corriander leaves
  • ...................................................................................................................

Directions
  1. Fry bay leaf , onions and tumeric pwd .
  2. Add tomatoes and fry until pulpy .
  3. Add the green paste and fry until raw smell disappears .
  4. Add the vegetables .
  5. Once half done add the rice and mix well .
  6. Add 3 3/4 C water and salt to taste .
  7. Place in a rice cooker and cook .
  8. Garnish .

When I went to Hyderabad India in 2006, I had Mutton Biryani (didn't like it), then I tried Chicken Biryani which was Very Good and last I had Veggie Biryani at a Birthday Party and it was THE BEST!!!! This looks pretty easy so I'm gonna give it try!!! Thanks for posting.
