Ingredients

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp vanilla

4 egg whites

2 cups cornflakes

1 cup nuts, chopped

1 cup sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F.

Add salt and vanilla to egg whites and beat until stiff.

Gradually beat in sugar.

Fold in Corn Flakes and chopped nuts.

Drop by big spoonsful on greased baking sheet.

Bake for 20 minutes or until brown.

Remove from pan at once.

Yields about 3 dozen.

These are EXCELLENT!! I made two batches. The first burnt slightly (there is a fine line between 'browned' and burnt!) Everyone loved them though.
I think next time I will crush the cornflakes up a bit and let them go mushy before spooning onto tray. Thanks for the recipe Tippystclair!
