How to make it

  • Press the tomatoes through a fine sieve, making a thick juice.
  • Add the other ingredients to the tomato juice, mix, bottle, and let stand.
  • Ready immediately, but tastes richer if let to sit for a day.
  • If you want a thicker sauce, simmer and reduce the tomato puree before adding the other ingredients.

I made my own Catsup this summer because I has so many tomatoes. I added Hot habanero peppers to my recipe.
I canned my them in small mason jars so it last longer.

Should keep about 10-14 days, but I never make that much that I don't use immediately.

I love anything I can make myself. How long will it keep in the fridge?
