Ingredients

How to make it

  • combine sugar and water in medium saucepan and stir well.
  • heat over medium - low heat until sugar dissolves.
  • increase heat to medium and bring to a boil, swirling pan gently to avoid scorching, until sugar caramelizes ( turns golden brown) about 10 minutes.
  • remove pan from heat and gradually stir in heavy cream ( mixture will bubble rapidly) and return to low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.......
  • remove from heat and whisk in rum and liqueur.
  • cover and cool slightly.
  • sauce can be refrigerated and reheated over low heat....... enjoy
