RUM -ORANGE -CREAM -SAUCE

- 2 - cups of sugar shopping list
- 1/2 - cup water shopping list
- 3/4 - cup heavy cream shopping list
- 2- tablespoons dark rum shopping list
- 2 - tablespoons cointreau or curacao shopping list
How to make it
- combine sugar and water in medium saucepan and stir well.
- heat over medium - low heat until sugar dissolves.
- increase heat to medium and bring to a boil, swirling pan gently to avoid scorching, until sugar caramelizes ( turns golden brown) about 10 minutes.
- remove pan from heat and gradually stir in heavy cream ( mixture will bubble rapidly) and return to low heat, stirring constantly until smooth.......
- remove from heat and whisk in rum and liqueur.
- cover and cool slightly.
- sauce can be refrigerated and reheated over low heat....... enjoy
