How to make it

  • Fry bacon in a large saucepan. Set aside and leave grease in pan.
  • Add onion and celery to the pan and saute until translucent.
  • Stir in the flour, then pour in chicken stock until thickened.
  • Dump in potatoes and Old Bay, bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 20 mins.
  • Add the milk, cream, clams and clam liquid.
  • Stir together and take off heat until ready to serve.
  • Just before serving heat through, and crumble bacon on top.
