Clam Chowder

- 2 slices of bacon shopping list
- 1 onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 cp celery and leaves, chopped shopping list
- 1 tbls flour shopping list
- 2 cups chicken stock shopping list
- 2 medium potatoes, diced shopping list
- 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning shopping list
- 1 cp milk shopping list
- 1 cp heavy whipping cream shopping list
- 2 (6 1/2 oz) cans of chopped clams shopping list
How to make it
- Fry bacon in a large saucepan. Set aside and leave grease in pan.
- Add onion and celery to the pan and saute until translucent.
- Stir in the flour, then pour in chicken stock until thickened.
- Dump in potatoes and Old Bay, bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 20 mins.
- Add the milk, cream, clams and clam liquid.
- Stir together and take off heat until ready to serve.
- Just before serving heat through, and crumble bacon on top.
