How to make it

  • Mix the above ingredients and place into a 9 X 13” baking dish.
  • (please drain all veggies, and save about 1/2 cup juice , your
  • choice to add to the veggie/soup mix)
  • Crumble the crackers and mix with the melted butter or margarine and the almonds. Sprinkle the topping mixture on top of the vegetables and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 to
  • 45 minutes or until the casserole is bubbling and hot throughout.
  • (* *note you may add 2 cups cooked chicken (in large pieces) to this if for main dish* *)

    Hey Debbie..Like I said, this was just what I
    had on hand..My Ma always HAD to cook that way
    and I guess I learned that from her.
    You can simplify it a great deal and use less items. I have even had non fat (no flavor) yogurt
    on hand that I used when I had no sour cream! :)

    I believe this is the same recipe we used to make that called for just the french style beans, and white corn - and it's a wonderful recipe! Love the idea of adding even more veggies...thanks for reminding me of this one!

    Ahhh.. just use as many (or as few) as you like..
    it'll still work!! (gets that '5' out of the way..

    Folks..I just 'did' this one for dinner... 'supper' here in the mountain..I used what I had in the house..Change it..anyway you want!!!! :) Add left over chicken, ham, drained and lean beef..FULL-MEAL-DEAL!! Also..Use low fat varieties of EVERYTHING..save calories and health.
