How to make it

  • Brown sausage in skillet.
  • Stir in cream cheese and cook until cream cheese softens..
  • Pour cooked sausage mixture in mixing bowl.
  • Add green onions to mixture and stir well to blend ingredients.
  • In skillet, saute mushrooms and onions in butter until tender.
  • Add seasoning and burgundy, cover and cook over low heat for 3 minutes.
  • Remove mushrooms from pan and place in casserole or baking dish.
  • Stuff mushrooms with sausage stuffing.
  • Pour butter/burgundy sauce over mushrooms.
  • Sprinkle the tops lightly with bread crumbs.
  • Place mushrooms under broiler for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Serve
