Whole Plum Cake

- 4 eggs shopping list
- sugar shopping list
- flour shopping list
- butter shopping list
- plums (small type, also referred to as "prune plums") shopping list
How to make it
- Weigh your eggs, to determine their weight
- Use equal amounts of sugar, flour, butter (that equal the weight of your 4 eggs).
- Cream sugar and butter.
- Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition.
- Beat for an additional 30 minutes. (not a typo, needs to be well beaten)
- Fold in flour.
- Pour into round pan.
- Top with whole plums.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
- This recipe dates back approximately 120 years!!!
