How to make it

  • preheat oven to 300 F
  • line baking sheet with parchment paper
  • in medium bowl blend flour, baking soda, and salt with wisk
  • in large bowl cream together butter and sugars
  • beat in egg
  • beat in cashew butter
  • beat well
  • stir in additional ingredients until just combined.
  • shape dough into one inch balls
  • flatten a bit on the cookie sheet
  • leave room to spread
  • bake 14-15 minutes, or until just beginning to get golden at the edges.
  • if you can resist, don't just scrape them off the baking sheet now, but:
  • Let cool for a few minutes on the sheet
  • transfer to a wire cooling rack to cool completely

    sounds great...have you tried it with a soybutter? my brother is deeply alergic to peanuts and treenuts and i al always on the look out for recipes for him . he loves to bake .

    SOunds great! We use a lot of sunflower seed butter so I might try that instead.
