Firecracker Grilled Alaskan Salmon Recipe
FIRECRACKER GRILLED ALASKAN SALMON This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Tillman Estate in Forney, Texas in 1982.

Ingredients
  • 4 salmon steaks
  • 1/4 cup peanut oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped scallions
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 3/4 teaspoon grated fresh ginger root
  • 2 teaspoons red chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Directions
  1. Place the salmon steaks in a glass dish.
  2. Whisk together the remaining ingredients and pour over salmon.
  3. Cover with plastic wrap and marinate in refrigerator for 6 hours.
  4. Heat grill then remove salmon from marinade.
  5. Brush grill with oil and place salmon on grill.
  6. Grill salmon over medium for 10 minutes per inch of thickness.
  7. Turn halfway through cooking.
