How to make it

  • Heat a large, nonstick pot over medium-high heat.
  • Add the water and onion amd cook 6-7 minutes.
  • Add remaining ingredients except pepper and Craisins. Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to a simmer, cover and cook 40 minutes.
  • Stir in pepper and Craisins, recover and cook 5 minutes longer.
  • Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes before fluffing and serving.
