Deviled Steak Strips Recipe
My family loved this recipe. We always served it over rice. Great left over.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lb round steak
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/4 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp oil
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8oz)
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp horseradish
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions
  1. Trim all fat off of the meat. Cut meat into thin strips (about 2 x 1/8 in.)
  2. Coat these strips with flour.
  3. Brown meat strips and onions in oil.
  4. Stir loose all of the scrapings.
  5. Add 1 cup of the water, garlic, tomato sauce, vinegar, horseradish, mustard, salt and pepper.
  6. Cover and cook on low for about 1 hr.
  7. At the end you may have to add the last 1/2 cup of water if it's too thick.
  8. Great served on rice or mashed potatoes.
