Wild Rice With Pine Nuts

- 1 1/3 cup wild rice (washed) shopping list
- 1 1/2 cup water shopping list
- 2 c beef broth shopping list
- 3/4 cup dried currants shopping list
- fresh black pepper shopping list
- 1 TBS butter shopping list
- 1 cup of finely chopped onion shopping list
- 1/2 cup pine nuts shopping list
How to make it
- Combine beef broth and water into a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Add rice, currants, and pepper. Cover and simmer on low until moisture is absorbed (about 65-70 min). Mean while, toast the pine nuts in a skillett. Wipe out the skillet, melt the butter and saute the onions until translucent. When the rice is done combine all ingredients and serve.
