Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter or margarine

1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef

2 medium onions, chopped

1 clove garlic, crushed

1 tablespoon prepared regular mustard

1-- 6-ounce can tomato sauce

6 ounces water

1 tablespoons chili powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Combine everything and simmer until thick. Do not brown ground beef first.

Cook 5 minutes longer, stirring often.

Put over cooked hot dogs in a warm bun.

My mother used to boil her hamburger for chili dogs. It made the meat have a very fine texture. I bet this might do the same thing.

It does..and I had a hard time finally getting the right one..this is a old OLD way of making HD chili and MOST places (restaurants) won't go to
the trouble of making it..it is GOOD! :)
