Tenntucky Blackberry Cobbler Recipe
Got this from a Southern Living flier.. I got my magazine yesterday made this last evening for dinner boy was it ever good with ice cream.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 cups frozen blackberries
  • Ice cream, optional

Directions
  1. Whisk together 1 cup sugar, flour and milk just until blended, whisk in melted butter.
  2. Pour batter into a lightly greased 12x8" or 11x8" baking dish, sprinkle blackberries and remaining 1/4 cup sugar evenly over batter.
  3. Bake until golden brown and bubbly.
  4. Top with a scoop of ice cream if desired.

I made one last week but I used fresh blackberries. Great post!


I made this for someone who was diabetic and used Splenda instead of sugar. The crust is perfect on this! We will be using this crust for other cobblers.
