Ingredients

1 gallon peaches, peeled and seeds removed

2 pounds brown sugar

1 pint vinegar

1 ounce cinnamon sticks

2 Tbsp whole cloves

Directions

Boil sugar, vinegar and cinnamon together for 5 minutes for syrup.

Cook peaches in syrup, a few at a time, until tender.

Put peaches in sterilized jars and cover with syrup.

Process according to directions in a recent canning book.
