Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sweetened applesauce
  • 1 3/4 cups self-rising flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

Directions
  1. Mix oil and sugar till smooth.
  2. Add eggs, mix well.
  3. Next, add applesauce, stir well.
  4. Then add flour and spices mix until smooth.
  5. Pour in floured bundt pan, cook in 320 degrees oven for 1 hour.
  6. Serves about 12

I have never used self-rising flour in a cake before...I will have to try this (I just bought some self-rising flour for another recipe!)...I will be sure to let you know when I try this one, blueeyes...thanks for the heads up - you know how I love applesauce cake!


My turkish friend bakes with olive oil in stead of butter and her cakes are yummy and moist and her cookies are fab
