How to make it

  • Combine pecans, rice, cheese, mushrooms, wheat germ, onion, garlic, cayenne and salt together and mix thoroughly.
  • Add eggs and mix again.
  • Pour into a well oiled baking pan.
  • Bake at 350 for 50 minutes.
  • Let sit 5 minutes before cutting and serving with hot mushroom gravy.
  • For gravy heat butter and sauté mushrooms.
  • Sprinkle on flour and brown by stirring over medium heat.
  • Add remaining ingredients and bring to a low boil.
  • Turn heat to low.
  • Stir, cover and let simmer for 15 minutes.

    Beautiful! I know a lot of people do not associate pecans with garlic, that is because they have never tried Turkish Tarator ( walnuts and garlic).Delicious!
