Linguine with Tomato Cream Sauce

- 8 tomatoes, skinned and chopped shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 tbls. olive oil shopping list
- 1 cup whipping cream, divided shopping list
- fresh basil shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 1 Lb. linguine shopping list
How to make it
- Cook linguine according to package directions
- Heat oil in over medium heat in saucepan
- Add onion and garlic
- Saute until onion becomes tender
- Add tomatoes, and salt and pepper
- Simmer for 10 minutes
- Add cream, except 2 tbls.
- Simmer for about 15-20 minutes
- Take off heat
- Add 2 tbls. cream
- Sprinkle with torn basil
