From sheba 17 years agoIngredients
- 1 tsp sugar shopping list
- 2 cups warm water shopping list
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast shopping list
- 1/3 cup fancy molasses shopping list
- 2 tbsp oil shopping list
- 1 cup whole wheat flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup unsalted sunflower seeds, toasted shopping list
- 1/2 cup quick cooking oats shopping list
- 1/4 cup flaxseeds shopping list
- 1/4 cup 3-grain cereal, Red River or Sunny Boy shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 4 cups white flour shopping list
How to make it
- In large mixing bowl, dissolve sugar in warm water. Sprinkle with yeast; let stand about 10 minutes. Stir in molasses and oil. Add whole wheat flour, sunflower seeds, oats, flaxseeds, cereal and salt. Stir in enough white flour to form slightly sticky dough. (I use my mixer) . Knead dough until elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a towel and let rise until double, about 1 1/2 hours.
- Punch down dough. Place in greased loaf pans, I make it into 2 loaves but it depends on the size of bread you want. Cover and let rise until doubled in bulk, about 1 hour. Brush lightly with water and bake at 357 degrees until done, about 30-35 minutes.
