How to make it

  • preheat oven to 350' F
  • place the garlic in an oiled roasting pan and roast it for 30 minutes
  • let garlic cool...then lay it on its side and cut the top third off with sharp knife
  • hold garlic over a bowl and dig out flesh from each clove with the point of the knife.
  • when all the flesh has been added to the bowl, pour the oil in, and plenty of black pepper... mix well
  • cook pasta in pan of salted water according to package directions
  • drain pasta and return it to the pan ..
  • pour the oil and garlic mixture over pasta and toss vigorously over medium heat until all the strands are coated
  • serve immediately with shavings of Parmesan
