Death By Chocolate Cookie Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2pkg. (16 squares) Bakers Semi Sweet Baking Chocolate, divided.
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. real vanilla
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/4 tsp. Calumet Baking powder
  • 2 cups chopped nuts (Optional)

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Coarsely chop 8 squares of chocolate, set aside.
  3. Microwave remaining chocolate in large microwavable bowl on High 1-2 minutes.
  4. Stir until chocolate is melted and smooth.
  5. Stir in sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla.
  6. Stir in flour and baking powder.
  7. Stir in reserved chopped chocolate and nuts.
  8. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  9. Bake 12 to 13 minutes or until cookies are puffed and feel set to the touch.
  10. Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute. Transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
  11. Makes about 18 cookies.
