this is a recipe that was in our local newspaper... it is a top winner in the Hurley Heritage Society's 2007 Corn Festivals cornbread bake off...
the recipe is Loretta Gill's....

Mmmmmmmmmm, peeta! We had chili on Sunday night and I made your cornbread as a "go with". What a fabulous recipe! The different flavor meld so well. The only change I made was to omit the pimento since we were out of them. Thanks so much for this post and you got my 5550!
