My Grandmas Lemon Bars

- Crust shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar shopping list
- 2 sticks of butter (softened) shopping list
- lemon Filling shopping list
- 4 eggs (I use jumbo) shopping list
- 2 cups of sugar shopping list
- 10 Tablespoons of lemon juice (I use Realemon Brand, as long as it is 100% lemon juice) shopping list
- 4 Tablespoons of flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
How to make it
- To make crust, mix together first two ingredients and then cut in butter.
- Press into a 9x13 baking pan (ungreased).
- Make a ridge.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
- While crust is in oven,
- beat your eggs slightly, add your sugar and the lemon juice.
- Fold in your 4 Tbsp of flour and your baking powder.
- When crust is done, pour mixture over your baked crust and bake another 25 minutes.
- Cool completely.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar
- *Note* Lemon Bars can be cut smaller or bigger, whatever your preference. And, I know I could just measure up the 10 tablespoons of lemon juice and be quicker about it but my Grandma always said, "my recipe, my way". Besides, I like tradition.
