DiPietro Linguine Diavolo

DiPietro's is a little Italian restaurant in West View just north of Pittsubrgh - family run and as good as you will find anywhere! This is my favorite dish there - so glad I found their recipe! You will be too.
Ingredients
- 1/3 c. olive oil shopping list
- 1 med. yellow onion, julienned shopping list
- 1 red bell pepper, cored, seeded, julienned shopping list
- 1 green pepper, cored, seeded, julienned shopping list
- 3/4 lb. cooked hot sausage, sliced into 1/4" rounds shopping list
- 2 T. unsalted butter shopping list
- 3 c. spaghetti sauce shopping list
- 1 lb. linguine, cooked aldente, drained shopping list
- salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste shopping list
- freshly grated Romano or Parmasan shopping list
How to make it
- Heat olive oil in large, heavy skillet and saute onions and peppers over medium heat until soft. Stir in sausage and season with salt and pepper. Add butter and stir until melted
- Add spaghetti sauce and cook until heated through. Toss with pasta, season with salt and pepper and serve with cheese.
