Hot Rum Raisin Sauce Recipe
Another favorite sauce. I use it on pork or ice cream.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Rum
  • 1/4 cup raisins

Directions
  1. Cook together 1 cup each of sugar and water.
  2. When the syrup reaches the thread stage (230 degrees F), remove it from the fire.
  3. Add 1/2 cup butter and when it is melted, stir in 1/4 cup rum and raisins.
  4. Serve immediately over Pork, Chicken, or Ice Cream.
