Moms Favorite Buttermilk Pie

This is my moms recipe she loves this pie..It's a custard pie that emerges from the oven with a golden brown, slightly caramelized top over a creamy center. Ingredients
- 2 -cups sugar shopping list
- 1 - teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 - teaspoon nutmeg shopping list
- 1 - teaspoon cinnamon shopping list
- 2 - tablespoons cornstarch shopping list
- 1/2- cup melted butter shopping list
- 3 - large eggs shopping list
- 1 - cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1 - 9 inch pie shell... .........better yet make your own crust .............which she did but she is making it easier for you .hahaha shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl combine the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg , vanilla, cornstarch, butter and eggs............
- beat with a mixer on low speed until well blended .......
- add the buttermilk and mix well again .....
- pour into the pie shell ......
- bake in oven on 350 degrees F. for 40 minutes or until set and lightly brown on top...........
- serves 6 - 8 ......... i hope you enjoy it .........
