scottish short bread

- 1 stick /110 g unsalted butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup / 55 g fine sugar, little extra for sprinkleing shopping list
- 1 1/4 cup / 175 g all purpose flour / plain flour shopping list
- a little extra for dusting shopping list
- 1 oz / 25 g cornstarch/ corn flour shopping list
How to make it
- [1] prep preheat 325 degrees / 170 degrees c.
- [2] in large bowl, cream togather- butter an sugar till fluffy
- [3] mix togather flour,cornstarch and sieve
- into the bowl of butter mix
- [4] lightly dust a workspace, roll out dough at a 1/4 inch thick / 1 cm
- thick- prick the surface all over with fork- cut into desired shape
- i use a milk glass, for this shape
- [5] place on a cookie sheet and bake 25 minutes
- or until pale brown and crisp
- sprinkle with fine sugar
