OK! So this was discovered by mistake. I wanted to make vegetable soup. I prepared all the ingredients, put the first two in a pot put in the water and then ....... omg. ..... The phone rang.
The onions and sweet-potato were cooking away without any... More

Ingredients
- 2 large onions.
- black pepper
- 1 large sweet potato.
- more black pepper
- 3 cups of water
- Salt & black Pepper.
- optional: more black pepper. (get the idea)
- believe it or not! THAT'S IT!
Directions
- Peel Onions and cut into 1/8ths.
- Peel sweet potato and slice into thick slices.
- Put everything into a pot and bring to a boil.
- Put the flame on low and cook for about another 30 minutes.
- let it cool a little and blend everything together with hand blender

Thanks for the new taste combination! I love homemade soup. At my house, soup is usually made when the veggie bins in the fridge need to be cleared out. I never use a recipe, so I never know exactly what I'll end up with, but its fun to find out. And I'll never be able to reproduce it (which can be good or bad).

Well, I never thought I might try a sweet potato, but this sounds like a maybe. I agree with uhannigan, at my house we call it Brownie Soup, because when my daughter was in Brownies the leader taught us this, whatever you have in the house gets put in a pot and boiled, then season it with whatever it seems to need. Good job!
