How to make it

  • Melt butter and oil in a large saute pan over med-low heat;stir in onion,sugar and salt. Cover and sweat 20 mins,stirring occasionally.
  • Uncover pan and continue to cook,stirring frequently,until onion is golden.,15 mins
  • Deglaze with brandy and cook till the liquid has evaporated. Store in frig. up to 1 week or freezer up to 1 mo.
