Pollys Signature Spice Blend In Haiku Format

This started out as Emeril's seasoning so to him all credit is due. However, I felt the need to modify this blend to meet my particular taste requirements. The following is the result. A little goes a long way and I add it to just about everything I make, from sauces to marinades and as a rub for grilled meat. Read more It's also good on potatoes and eggs. Ingredients
- 1/4 cup paprika shopping list
- 1/4 cup salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup garlic powder shopping list
- 2 tablespoons black pepper shopping list
- 2 tablespoons onion powder shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper (can use crushed red pepper flakes with good results) shopping list
- 2 tablespoons basil shopping list
- 2 tablespoons thyme shopping list
How to make it
- Blend the spices well.
- Store in airtight container.
- Keep close for quick use.
- Zesty, peppy salt.
- To ev'ry thing I must add.
- A pinch here and there.
- Watch out! Spicy kick!
- The flavors will grow on you.
- Addictive. Want more!
- Buy spice at Costco.
- Economy requires thrift.
- Pinching pennies? MUST!

5th Sister - I will have to check my variation out - as I too have a version of Emeril's - which I combined with another friend's Mississippi rub mix. I'll see where mine is different from yours and post it soon. Thanks for the spices!
