How to make it

  • Pare and cook potatoes in salted water until tender.
  • Drain
  • Mash
  • Beat in sour cream and cream cheese until light and fluffy
  • Beat in Garlic salt and powder
  • Place in greased 2 quart casserole dish
  • Dot with butter and sprinkle with cheese
  • Bake at 350 for 1 hour

    So scrumptious!! Easy and rich....although I did use reduced fat cream cheese and sour cream. This was a winner last night. Served with Unstuffed Chicken Florentine. Loved the fact that I was able to make it ahead and it was so creamy...almost souffle like....great side dish! Thanks Sanzoe!

    Thanks everyone! I grew up with these and they have become a staple in this house. Sometimes I do make them with fat free stuff and they still turn out really well.
