Whipped Potato Casserole Recipe
This is a great way to make mashed potatoes ahead of time.

Ingredients
  • 8 medium potatoes
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Directions
  1. Pare and cook potatoes in salted water until tender.
  2. Drain
  3. Mash
  4. Beat in sour cream and cream cheese until light and fluffy
  5. Beat in Garlic salt and powder
  6. Place in greased 2 quart casserole dish
  7. Dot with butter and sprinkle with cheese
  8. Bake at 350 for 1 hour

Thanks everyone! I grew up with these and they have become a staple in this house. Sometimes I do make them with fat free stuff and they still turn out really well.


So scrumptious!! Easy and rich....although I did use reduced fat cream cheese and sour cream. This was a winner last night. Served with Unstuffed Chicken Florentine. Loved the fact that I was able to make it ahead and it was so creamy...almost souffle like....great side dish! Thanks Sanzoe!
