Porky Peppers
From keni 15 years agoIngredients
- 12 jalapeno or other hot peppers, sliced lengthwise and de-seeded and ribbed, if desired to reduce heat(If using a longer pepper, cut to about 2 inch lengths, for a total of 24 halves) shopping list
- 8oz cream cheese, softened shopping list
- dash of worcestershire sauce shopping list
- black pepper shopping list
- dash of juice from fresh lemon shopping list
- 1lb thick cut bacon, cut in half shopping list
- ---I forgot to add in the original recipes that depending on the smokiness of the bacon used and the type of pepper, we'll sometimes add a drop of liquid smoke...it brings on an almost "chipotle" taste :)-- shopping list
How to make it
- **Remember to clean peppers carefully--use gloves**
- In small bowl, combine cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and black pepper.
- Spread mixture into inside of each pepper half.
- Wrap 1 bacon piece around each pepper, starting and ending so ends of bacon are on underside of pepper.
- Grill over medium heat for 15-20 minutes until bacon and peppers begin to crisp.
My peppers before they met porky ;)
