How to make it

  • In a large bowl, break noodles into small pieces. Set aside seasoning packet.
  • Add the coleslaw mix, almonds and the onions.
  • In a small bowl, combine the oil, vinegar, sugar and seasoning packet. Wisk together well.
  • Pour over coleslaw mixture and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
  • Refrigerate leftovers. 4-6 servings
  • This makes enough dressing to accomodate a whole bag of slaw mix.

    I love it too. I love the almonds and the crunch from the noodles. I grew up in Hialeah, FL and moved to AL in 1976. I love it here, I love the change of the seasons. I still have many relatives in different parts of FL.

    This is one of our favorite "non-mayo" recipes. It is a must for the camping trips or picnics. I have no worries when I make this in the Florida heat.
