Ingredients

• The COLONELS SECRET 11 HERBS and SPICES

2 Tablespoon. paprika

1 Tablespoon. onion salt

1 Teaspoon celery salt

1 Teaspoon. rubbed sage

1 Teaspoon garlic powder

1 Teaspoon ground allspice

1 Teaspoon ground oregano

1 Teaspoon. chili powder

1 Teaspoon black pepper

1 Teaspoon sweet basil leaves, crushed

1 Teaspoon. marjoram leaves, crushed fine

1 Teaspoon light brown sugar

1 Teaspoon. salt.

1 cup. flour (chickpea/self raising white/any)

water, milk or beer

Directions

Combine all ingredients as listed in a small jar with a tight fitting lid (baby food jars work well).

Shake mixture to combine. Stores for months. Keep out of direct sunlight, heat and humidity.

Make a batter in a bowl by mixing in water(or sparking) or milk or beer

Dip your veggies in one at a time

broccoli, cauliflower, aubergine, onion, carrots, tofu, potato, peppers, okra, baby sweetcorn, frozen spinich, garlic cloves, courgettes

no vegetables?... try a slice of bread cut into 2 or 4 peices

Drop coated veggies into batter and deep fry over medium heat

Cook for a few minutes depending on the vegetable

Alternatively bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Remove and drain on kitchen paper before serving
