BUTTER CRUNCH SLICES

- Filling: shopping list
- 1 cup (6-ounce package) butterscotch pieces, melted shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped salted peanuts shopping list
- 1/4 cup peanut butter shopping list
- 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk shopping list
- 1 tablespoon softened butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- Dough: shopping list
- 1/4 cup peanut butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup softened butter shopping list
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup quick-cooking rolled oats shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all ingredients for filling. Chill while preparing dough.
- In large mixing bowl, combine ingredients for dough. Blend well with mixer. Divide dough in half. Pat out each half on waxed paper to a 12- by 6-inch rectangle. Spoon filling down center of each rectangle. Fold one side of dough around filling and then the other. Gently shape into a log.
- Wrap; chill at least 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut dough into 1/4-inch slices. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheets.
- Makes about 6 dozen.
