- COUNTRY applesauce cake shopping list
- Cake: shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter, margarine or shortening shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups applesauce shopping list
- 1 cup raisins (SOFTENED AND DRAINED) shopping list
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans shopping list
- Cream cheese frosting: shopping list
- 1 --8 ounce package softened cream cheese (note: A butter frosting could be used instead of cream cheese). shopping list
- 1/2 cup softened butter shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups sifted powdered sugar shopping list
- 2-1/2 to 2-3/4 cups sifted powdered sugar shopping list
- Cake: In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, margarine or shortening for 30 seconds. shopping list
- Add the sugars and egg; beat until combined. shopping list
- Stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and spices. shopping list
- Add flour mixture alternately with applesauce to butter mixture. shopping list
- Stir in raisins and nuts. shopping list
- Pour batter into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan, spreading evenly. shopping list
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. shopping list
- Cool in pan on wire rack. shopping list
- Cream cheese frosting: shopping list
- Beat together cream cheese, butter and vanilla until light and fluffy. shopping list
- Gradually beat in powdered sugar to make a spreadable frosting. shopping list
