Hush-Hush Sweet Puppies Recipe
these little babies are so good. Slightly sweet yet have a little kick. Easy to make and great with fried fish or chicken or just as a snack.

Ingredients
  • 1 package Jiffy corn bread mix
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions(green part only)
  • 1 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped bell pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun spice
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons milk

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Refrigerate for two hours.
  4. Roll into small balls.
  5. Heat oil to 340 degrees in large frying pan or deep fryer.
  6. Drop hushpuppies a few at a time and cook in small batches until lightly browned (about 2 to 3 minutes)
  7. Drain on paper towels
  8. * if batter is too thin, add a little more flour after the first batch.
