    made 2 batches , and despite my wonky oven, i didn't burn them . they were delicious! i also used a cookie scoop to portion and froze some of batch for whenever.

    ok, i was looking for a recipe my older sister used to make for me and my 8 younger siblings and she couldn't bake them fast enough for us. Even today if we stop by to visit we can smell the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies baked when we come to visit , i just wanted to be one up on her and bring some for her one time I come to visit, and hope they are as good or maybe even better!! thanks for the recipe~ Im sure they are a 5 forks or more!!

    Absolutely my husband's favorite kind of cookie and your recipe sounds fantastic! I have a big bag of chocolate-covered raisins that I'm going to mix in...
    If i can keep him out of the dough (okay, ME too) I just might have enough for the actual cookies...haha!

    You won't believe what I am about to tell you but I made this recipe 2 days ago. We took 2 dozen cookies to our 5 year old grandson and he thought they were the best. Great "5" fork recipe!!! I have used this exact oatmeal cookie recipe for many years and it was in an old cookbook that once belonged to my Mother. Thanks so much for posting it for everyone in the group.
