How to make it
- Combine cornmeal, flour, salt, cayenne pepper and garlic powder. Coat catfish with mixture and shake off excess. Fill a large, heavy skillet half full with vegetable oil. Heat to 350*. Add catfish in single layer, two at a time, and fry until golden brown and fish flakes easily when tested with fork. Remove and drain on paper towels.
