How to make it

  • Preheat Broiler. Grease baking dish.
  • Mix Parmesan, butter, mayo, lemon juice, onions, salt, & hot pepper sauce.
  • Arrange Halibut in prepared baking dish.
  • Broil Halibut filets 8 minutes or until easily flaked with a fork.
  • Spread with Parmesan mixture and continue broling for 2 minutes or until topping is bubbly and lightly browned.

    Had a beautiful, thick piece of halibut and was looking for something a little different. I must admit, I didn't measure a thing. I had finely grated a bunch of Parmesan Reggiano, so it was quite fine and almost fluffy, so I'm sure I added more than called for (but oh so good!). I used Red Hot for the pepper sauce and also added a touch of Old Bay. I had to bake it due to the thickness. Hubs isn't a great appreciator of fish but said he enjoyed it! I thought it was absolutely delicious and will definitely make this again, perhaps even using another mild fish. Thanks, Canzi!

    Just came back from the kitchen :). Yum, yum... even my fishophobiac husband liked it and said "Save this recipe for next fish day" (we have fish once a week). I didn't have green onions, so I added a tsp horseradish sauce for zest, and went a little heavier on lemon juice and added dill, just for some green sprinkles :)
