Chocolate Snickerdoodles

CHOCOLATE SNICKERDOODLES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Boswell Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1984.
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened shopping list
- 3/4 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups rolled oats shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons cocoa shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 then lightly grease a cookie sheet.
- Beat butter and sugars until fluffy then add eggs and beat well.
- Combine dray ingredients then add to creamed mixture mixing well.
- Chill dough a few hours then roll in 2 tablespoons cocoa, sugar and cinnamon mixture.
- Place on cookie sheet 2" apart then bake 10 minutes and cool on racks.
