How to make it

  • Heat olive oil in a sauce pan.
  • Saute onions until browned.
  • Add wine and cook about 3 minutes.
  • Add remaining ingredients.
  • Simmer until reduced by about 1/2.
  • Puree in a blender or food processor.
  • Serve over grilled/roasted meat or use as a BBQ sauce.
  • We made it tonight with boneless pork chops cooked in white wine and pineapple juice with onion slices on top.
