Ingredients
  • 2 lbs.- beef (cut in small cubes)
  • 3 -Tbsp. oil or butter
  • 4 -medium onions (chopped)
  • 1 -clove garlic (minced)
  • 2 -Tbsp. paprika
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1- tsp. caraway seeds
  • 3- Tbsp. tomato paste
  • 1 -bay leaf
  • 3- cup water
  • 2 -cup beef broth
  • 1/2 -cup red wine
  • 4 medium potatoes (cubed

Directions
  1. Brown the meat in oil or butter.
  2. Add the onions and garlic and fry until the onions are translucent.
  3. Add the paprika, bay leaf, caraway seeds, water, and broth.
  4. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for about 45 minutes.
  5. Add the potatoes and simmer for an additional 45 minutes.
  6. Stir in the tomato paste and red wine.
  7. Salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
