Chocolate Hazlenut Semifreddo

- 1 C crushed amaretti shopping list
- 3 Tbl butter, melted shopping list
- 2 13 ounce jar chocolate hazelnut spread shopping list
- 1/4 C Frangelico shopping list
- 1 1/2 c whipping cream shopping list
- 3/4 c pistachio nuts, chopped shopping list
- unsweetened cocoa powder shopping list
- Coarsely chopped pistachio nuts (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Line a 9x5x3 loaf pan with platic wrap
- Crust
- In a small bowl combine amaretti and melted butter
- Press onto the bottom of the prepared pan; set aside
- The Main Attraction
- In a large bowl, combine chocolate hazelnut spread and Frangelico; set aside
- In another large bowl, beat whipping cream with an electric mixer on medium to high speed until soft peaks form
- Gradually fold the whipped cream into the chocolate mixture
- Gently fold in the 1/4 c chopped pistachios
- Spoon mixture evenly over crust, spreading evenly
- Cover and freeze for 8 to 24 hours
- To serve, sift cocoa powder onto a serving platter. Invert semifreddo onto platter; remove plastic wrap
- If desired, sprinkle with additional pistachio nuts
- Slice with a serrated knife
