From pamela 17 years agoIngredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar, white shopping list
- 2 cups rolled oats shopping list
- 1/2 cup currants, dried shopping list
- 1/3 cup milk shopping list
- 4 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 egg, beaten shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter, melted shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Grease a baking sheet, lightly grease a baking sheet. Combine the flour, sugar, oats, currants, baking powder, and salt in a large sized bowl. Create a well in the center. Beat the egg until foamy, then stir in the milk and melted butter. Now, pour that mixture into the well, and stir to make a soft dough. Pat dough into two, 1/2 inch thick circles and place on the baking sheet. Score 8 wedges into every circle of dough. Finally, bake 15 minutes, until risen and golden-brown. Separate the wedges, and serve warm.
