How to make it

  • cut off both ends of the onions, and remove the outer peel
  • combine in a bowl:
  • basil, thyme, oregano, lemon pepper and garlic
  • Combine thoroughly
  • Cut crosswise slits into the onions, and add a generous amount of the mixture of herbs and spices
  • Envelope with heavy-duty tinfoil, and set onto the barbecue grill, lid closed. Cook at medium-high heat for 25 minutes, or until done to your preference.

    OMG! This sounds super good!! I have to try it! I love onions in just about anything! A friend tells me that her mom said "when your husband is coming home and you haven't gotten dinner started, put some onions in a pan with some oil and start them cooking. He'll gladly wait for dinner." Cute, huh?
